Ministry Opportunities

Whether working with children or adults, whether singing in the choir or collecting tithes and offerings, there are plenty of opportunities to serve the Lord at Powell!

Infant/Toddler Care

Our youngest children are some of our most precious gifts from God. We endeavor to provide the best care possible for our infants and toddlers.

Our nursery is professionall staffed and available for every worship service. It can accomodate newborns and toddlers up to three years of age.

Students

Powell offers a wide variety of activities and worship opportunities for children and teens.

Sunday school classes are offered on Sunday mornings. Fun activities and studies are key parts of "RA's" and "GA's" on Sunday evenings.

Sunday School

Powell offers a traditional Sunday School program every Sunday starting at 9:15 AM. Classes are offered for all ages to systematically explore God's Holy Word and encourage members to spread the Gospel.

Sunday School is a great way to meet other Christians in a small group setting and learn and worship together!

Worship

Our pastor, Dr. Nick Bates, and music minister, Nancy Chance lead us every week in a time of music, prayer, preaching and worship.

A traditional worship service, often with a flair of contemporary music, serves as a backdrop to amazing preaching and dedicated worship of our awesome God! Come worship with us every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM and Sunday Evening at 6:00 PM.

Outreach

Connecting with the community and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ is very important to us at Powell. We work to do just that within our Brotherhood and Laborers for Christ ministries. We also believe in the importance of educating our students about outreach and missions, which happens during our RA & GA classes.

Other activities, such as VBS, the Burn Center ministry, and serving within the church help to show the love of Christ to others!
