Powell Baptist Church

At Powell Church we are Laborers For Christ (L4C). We are women on mission! 

WMU’s watchword for work in the church for 2022-2024 is to be joyful in hope, patient in

affliction, and faithful in prayer (Romans 12:12-13). Our emphasis is "hope in Christ."

 

We work to share with the Lord’s people who are in need and practice hospitality.

Our organization meets monthly on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at the church.

During our meetings, we do the following:

 

• Tell a mission story out of our Mosaic Mission magazine

• Present the prayer calendar of the missionaries who have birthdays on that day

• Sign cards to be mailed to the sick and shut in and those who need to be uplifted and encouraged

• Discuss and plan mission projects to participate in locally, statewide, nationwide, & and internationally

 

Additionally, we also have special ladies' events that always include lots of worship, fellowship, and fun!
